(75 Words):  [/color]I was motivated to become a police officer by two things: First, the practical. I wanted a secure, decent paying job with good benefits,  a solid pension and a reasonable retirement age. This meant police, fire or Ems. Second, I wanted what I did with my life to actually make a difference in someone else's. I wanted a position that was respected. I wanted life experiences that most people avoid. I wanted to be able to look back on my life and know that other people were better off because of me.
